Effective 23 October 2026. Operated by Georgi Kalchev. Contact: abuse@402registry.com. By requesting or paying for a check you accept these terms.
1. What the service is
402registry checks, for a fee, whether a public website can be read and understood by AI crawlers that do not run JavaScript, and returns a dated report with the evidence behind each finding. A site that passes may be listed in a public catalog. A check is an observation made on the day shown on the report; it does not guarantee ranking, indexing or citation by any search engine or AI product. See the trust page.
2. Payment
One payment buys one check, run immediately: $0.01 in USDC on Base, paid over the x402 protocol at /buy/one. A snapshot of the catalog is $0.005 at /buy/catalog. There is no account, no card and no subscription. The price and receiving wallet are in the 402 response and the manifest; verify them before you sign.
3. When you are charged, and refunds
The site is checked before the payment is settled. If the request is refused, the check cannot run, or our language model cannot answer, nothing is charged. Once a check has run and returned a report, the payment stands whatever the verdict is: a failing or doubtful result is still a result, and the report is delivered in full. We have no automated refunds. A payment that settled on the blockchain cannot be reversed by us. If you were charged and did not receive a report, write to abuse@402registry.com with the transaction reference and we will look at it.
4. What you may do
Submit only public https:// sites. We refuse IP addresses, internal names, unusual ports and our own hosts, and we limit checks of one site to a few per hour and per day. Do not use the service to overload, probe or harass a site, and do not try to bypass its limits. A site owner can opt out of our crawler and the catalog (see the crawler page). We may refuse or stop serving anyone who abuses the service.
5. If the service stops
We can pause or close the service at any time, for example to stop a fault or abuse. A paused service refuses payment requests before any charge. We do not hold prepaid balances: each payment buys one check that runs at once, so there is nothing left to return when the service stops.
6. Limit of liability
The service is provided as is. Reports are automated and can be wrong or incomplete. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the check in question. We are not liable for decisions you take, or business outcomes you miss, based on a report.
7. What we store
Summarised in the privacy page: the ledger of payments, the reports and catalog entries, and short-lived counters.
8. Changes
Changes are published on this page with a new effective date. A payment is governed by the terms in force when it was made.
